Inform, Entertain and Inspire
As an independent radio station for Frome, the programmes are made by local people, for local people. As well as covering local issues and community affairs, there will be interviews with artists, writers and musicians, a daily soap opera, council news, challenging music programmes and some spine-chilling ghost stories.
The funding needed to put Frome FM on air has come from Somerset County Council, Somerset Community Chest, Mendip Housing Ltd, Mendip District Council and from Frome Town Council. Additional funding has come from Frome's three County Councillors from their Community Budgets. The station has also been supported by local businesses and private individuals, many of whom have been generous with their expertise and time.
